Goodbye Old Paint RSS

'goodbye old paint' is a folk song my mother used to sing when i was a kid. now it is just one of the many things that add to the fog in my brain. this is all just a tribute to the fog. send me stuff here. "listen, there's a hell of a universe next door. let's go." ~ e.e. cummings.

Holy crap, Chrissie Hynde was at The Duke Spirit show at the Hammer Museum last night!  And no, I didn’t get a picture.  But I was standing in line for the bathroom and she came out and looked right at me as she walked by, and I thought, “Wow, that woman looks like Chrissie Hynde.”  But I didn’t imagine for a second it was really her, LOL.  Until we were leaving, that is, and one of the guys with us starting saying, “Look, Chrissie Hynde is here!” in the lobby, and I said, “It IS her???”
She was standing in her skinny jeans and boots, laughing and chatting with some friends in the lobby, so I just gawked and clutched my camera, and debated whether or not to ruin her moment by asking for a photo.  I decided on not.  I’ve always heard she’s really private and gets angry at nosy reporters.  She looked great though!
But as we drove away, I saw her again on the sidewalk, talking to someone who looked an awful lot like Rosanna Arquette.  Wow.
The Duke Spirit were great, by the way, and the John Lautner exhibit was pretty cool as well.  I call the Arango House!!  Er…unless it’s taken.
